股骨髁上骨折为发生在股骨内外髁上5厘米以内的骨折，不应包括内外髁部骨折和髁间骨折。髁上骨折一般为关节囊外骨折，而髁部骨折及髁间骨折为关节囊内骨折，但髁上骨折与髁间骨折常相互波及，又称经髁间的髁上骨折或股骨远端C型骨折。
