《老残游记》是清末文学家刘鹗的代表作。这篇小说以一位走方郎中老残的游历为主线，对社会矛盾开掘很深，尤其是他在书中敢于直斥清官（清官中的酷吏）误国，清官害民，独具慧眼地指出清官的昏庸常常比贪官更甚。同时，小说在民族传统文化精华提炼、生活哲学及艺术、女性审美和平等、人物心理及音乐景物描写等多方面皆达到了极其高超的境界。
《老残游记》也是最早被翻译为英语的中国古典小说之一。
