绿色塑料指对人类无害、对环境无公害的塑料产品。聚丙烯（PP）由于其结构与人类生命三元素C、H、O息息相关，且无论回收或燃烧皆符合环保需求，故可被称为绿色塑料。它具有极佳可塑性，耐温耐撞击，又是比重最轻的塑料，可作塑代钢、塑代木的最佳材料。如可作为轻量化要求的汽车材料，绿色环保的建筑材料，环保的医疗器材、家电产品等等。
