紫草油是临床治疗烧烫伤的长常备外用药，出自清《疮疡大全》，文献中有医院自制紫草油的报道，处方均为紫草、当归、地榆、黄芩、黄柏、甘草、白芷、冰片等多味药组成，以麻油加热提取。 该药品有三种制作方法，使用时直接涂患处，需要注意不能忽略皮肤皱褶等。
