粉磨机械是指排料中粒度小于3毫米的排料占总排料量50%以上的粉碎机械。这类机械通常安排料粒度的大小来分类:排料粒度为3~0.1毫米者称为粗粉磨机械;排料粒度在0.1~0.02毫米之间者称为细粉磨机械;排料粒度小于0.02毫米者称为微粉碎机械或超微粉磨机械。粉磨机械的操作方法有干法和湿法两种。干法操作时物料在空气或其他气体中粉碎;湿法操作时物料则在水或其他液体中粉碎。粉磨机械常与筛分或分级机械联合工作。
