篦子是用竹子制成的梳头用具，中间有梁儿，两侧有密齿。篦子是一种特殊的梳子，但是齿要比普通梳子更密，所以与传统配套使用的梳子相比，篦子的梳头功能主要是刮头皮屑和藏在头发里的虱子。 篦子的制作是典型的手工艺活，工艺细致复杂，工序繁多，竞须经过108道“手脚”。这之中又分为三个大环节：办齿子、办梁子、办档子。
