积件是由教师和学生根据教学需要自己组合运用多媒体教学信息资源的教学软件系统。该系统不是在技术上把教学资源素材库和多媒体著作平台简单叠加，而是积件库与积件组合平台的有机结合，其中积件库中的多媒体资料库、微教学单元库、资料呈现方式库、教与学策略库、网上环境积件资源库，为师生利用积件组合平台制作教学软件提供了充足的素材来源和多种有效途径；灵活易用的积件组合平台则是充分发挥师生创造性的有力工具。
