社群行为（social behaviour）是指同种动物间或异种动物间的集体合作行为。这种合作可以仅表现为暂时的和松散的集群现象，但更典型的是动物组成一个有结构的永久性社群，其中有明确的分工和组织（如阶级和优势序位现象）。 许多社群是环绕着婚姻和血缘关系建立起来的，但配偶和亲子关系本身还不能视为社群现象。蜂群之被视为典型社群，并非因为它是个血缘集团，而是因为内部有明显的分工和组织。
