礼学是自古及今一切关于礼的学术活动的总称，是以礼为研究对象的一个专门的学术。从内容方面看，礼学跟中国传统的哲学、宗教、政治、道德等学术互相交叉，互相渗透，同时又相对独立，具有独特的基本范畴和自成的体系。对中国传统的经学或儒学而言，礼学是它们的核心组成部分，但是从历史的实际情况看，礼学又不完全局限于经学或儒学。
