以颜色或现象变化来指示物体表面温度及温 度分布的一种涂料。其组成包括热敏颜料、漆 基、溶剂和填料。基料主要为耐光耐候性较 好的丙烯酸类树脂和有机硅树脂。示温涂料 可分为可逆和不可逆两类，其中又有单变色、 双变色和多变色之分。这类涂料适于水银温 度计、毫伏计、辐射高测计不宜测温的地方， 或连续运转的部件及大面积表面温度分布的 测示。如用于化工、炼油、反应釜外壁起到 超温报警作用，用于飞机发动机和内部仪表、 蒙皮结构的温度测定和温度分布测示等。
