礁灰岩（reef limestone）又称生物骨架灰岩（organic framework limestone）。一种具有原地固着生长状态的生物骨架构成的石灰岩。这些生物具有抗浪本能，因而能造成坚固的抗浪构造，如岗陵状、脊状、不规则状的骨架灰岩体，特称为“礁”。礁灰岩具有较高的孔隙率，远远大于其他岩石。它比周围同时期沉积物要高得多。
礁灰岩（reef limestone）则是具有生物骨架结构之石灰岩，其中由珊瑚骨骼作为支撑骨架者则称为珊瑚礁石灰岩(coral reef limestone)。
