硬山是中国传统的建筑表现手法，是中国传统建筑双坡屋顶形式之一。外观呈人字形，两侧山墙平于或略高于屋顶，屋顶双坡交界处多砖砌瓦垒，山墙两际或砌以方砖博风板，近屋角处迭砌墀头花饰。据文献所载，宋代已出现，似与砖墙的广泛使用有关。多见于中国北方建筑，尤以民居采用最多。
