夫役名。清代于沿河各处临时雇用帮拉漕船之夫役。凡漕船于沿途遇有逆水溜急或某船因故脱帮落后需要赶帮或打闸、过坝时，常雇用短纤。短纤之工价，例有定限。一般在每夫每里给价一文至三文不等。各夫之工价， 由旗丁支给现钱，不得以货、米抵给。凡有擅动漕粮作为纤夫食米者，均照盗卖漕粮例从重治罪；押运官及地方官均题参议处。参见“提溜”。
