短期资金(1)企业从货币市场取得的必须在一年内归还的资金。主要用于补充经营过程中出现的临时性资金短缺，如日常所需现金，各种应收款的资金垫付，季节性的材料储备等。取得短期资金的方式主要有商业信用、银行短期贷款、短期证券流通、票据贴现等。(2)银行之间用于相互拆借的资金，拆借时间很短，一般为一天、几天或十几天。
