知风草，中药名。为禾本科画眉草属植物知风草Eragrostis ferruginea （Thunb.） Beauv.的根。植物知风草，分布几遍全国。具有舒筋散瘀之功效。主治跌打内伤，筋骨疼痛。
知风草(Eragrostis ferruginea)：多年生草本，高30～100cm。使用部位为其花序，花序大而开展，分枝节密，穗上小花多带黑紫色，有时也出现黄绿色。
