海绵状血管瘤(cavernous hemangioma)因肿瘤内为海绵样血管窦腔而得名。是成年人最常见的原发于眶内的肿瘤，占眶内肿瘤10%～23%，女性较男性多见，女性约占52%～70%。为近似圆球形实性肿瘤，边界清楚，呈暗红色，切面呈海绵状。因肿瘤生长缓慢，往往在青春期后因出现眼球突出而被发现，就诊年龄自15～72岁，30～49岁者占2/3。
