直线摊销法(straight-line bond amortization)是指将债券利息费用总额平均分配到各个利息期。使用直线法摊销斐乐公司债券利息费用时，首先，用债券利息费用总额$ 19 546除以4（债券有效期内的半年利息支付期数），从而计算出各期的债券利息费用为$4 887（包括练习在内的所有计算结果都保留到个位）。另外一种计算方法是首先将$3 546的折价除以4，得到每期摊销的折价为$887}然后再用$ 887加上每期支付的利息$4 000，也可以得出各期债券利息费用为$4 887。
