In order to recognize the atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. （rhizoma atractylodes） and its confusable varieties,three kinds of models of radial basis function network（RBF）,nonlinear-linear,linear-linear,and nonlinear-nonlinear model,were used combined with their Fourier transform infrared spectra（FTIR）.

白术（学名：Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz.）：菊科苍术属多年生草本植物，高可达60厘米，结节状根状茎。茎直立，全部光滑无毛。叶互生，叶片羽状全裂，侧裂片倒披针形、椭圆形或长椭圆形，顶裂片比侧裂片大，全部叶质地薄，纸质，两面绿色，无毛，头状花序单生茎枝顶端，苞叶绿色，针刺状羽状全裂。总苞宽钟状，顶端紫红色。瘦果倒圆锥状，8-10月开花结果。 分布中国江苏、浙江、福建、江西、安徽、四川、湖北及湖南等地，该种有栽培。 该种亦有众多的商品化名称，如根据生药的根状茎形状，或鹤形术、金线术、或白术腿，按产地取名，如徽术，按根状茎出土季节取名，如冬术。以于术（浙江于潜）品质为佳。药用功能运脾药，性味苦温辛烈，有燥湿、化浊、止痛之效。 （概述图参考来源：中国自然标本馆 ）
