电极压力是指电阻焊时,通过电极施加在工件上的压力。是电阻点焊的主要规范参数之一,对焊点质量影响较大。当电极压力过小时,接触电阻增大,电流密度过大,加热速度过快,从而产生喷溅;当电极压力过大时,焊接区接触面积增加,接触电阻减小,产生的电阻热减小,将造成未熔合、脱焊等缺陷。而在熔核冷却结晶时,合适的压力可以防止缩孔及裂纹等缺陷的产生。因此在线监测动态电极压力对保证点焊质量具有重要意义。
