电动电位(zeta-potential)是非活性补偿离子层(见“双电层”)与介质溶液间的电位差。它的大小依扩散层的厚度而定,一般随扩散层的厚度增加而增大。影响电动电位的因素有介质溶液的电解质浓度、反号离子价态、交换性阳离子半径等。电动电位对土壤的离子交换、胶体絮凝和分散均有重要影响。
