生命哲学是广泛传播于西方各国，并贯穿于20世纪的哲学流派。一种试图用生命的发生和发展来解释宇宙，甚至解释知识，或经验基础的唯心主义学说或思潮。19世纪末至20世纪初流行于德、法等国。它是在A.叔本华的生存意志论和F.W.尼采的权力意志论、C.R.达尔文的生物进化论和H.斯宾塞的生命进化学说，以及法国M.J.居约(1854～1888)的生命道德学说的影响下形成的。
