理论价格是按照价格形成理论，设计一定的数学模型计算出来的价格基础体系，亦称“宏观理论价格”。企业在具体计算和确定价格过程中，按照一定的公式和数据计算出来的尚待最后决定或核定的价格，亦称“微观理论价格”。宏观理论价格不是现实存在的价格体系，也不是立即执行的价格。它可以作为衡量现行价格体系是否合理及偏离程度的标准，还可作为计划价格调整的目标体系。
