王芸生（1901-1980），原名德鹏，天津人。无党派爱国民主人士，我国卓越的老一辈新闻工作者。王芸生1901年9月26日出生在天津郊区，早年家贫，曾在天津当学徒，自学成才。他酷爱读书，尤其对报纸有兴趣，早年曾在《益世报》副刊发表过《新新年致旧新年书》。
