燃气灶是指以液化石油气（液态）、人工煤气、天然气等气体燃料进行直火加热的厨房用具。燃气灶又叫炉盘，其大众化程度无人不知，但又很难见到一个通行的概念。 按气源讲，燃气灶主要分为液化气灶、煤气灶、天然气灶。按灶眼讲，分为单灶、双灶和多眼灶。
而使用gas stove（燃气灶）时则通常是煮菜( boil)，而炒菜(stir-fry)却不常见，因为国外房子里面的警报器过于敏感，炒菜的油烟就能让它响（go off）。
