熊尾 coontail 金鱼藻科(Ceratophyllaceae)的一种水生植物。挺立叶暗绿色，长1∼3.5公分(约0.4∼1.25吋)，轮生，在枝梢成冠状。每一丝状枝的末端呈浣熊尾状。茎长可达3.6∼4.7公尺(约12∼15呎)。花生於叶腋，花谢後结一枚具三棵刺的坚果状果实。在生长季节初期，茎的下部生於泥中，後来漂於水面。枝梢的「熊尾」在冬季破裂沉入水中，次年生长季节形成新植株。
