烟气再循环是抑制汽车尾气中氮氧化物排放技术的一种。将一部分排气返回到送气系统，降低混合气中的氧浓度，起热量吸收体的作用，不致使燃烧温度变得过高，从而抑制氮氧化物的生成。烟气循环率通常是尾气总量的5-20%，使NO产生量降低10-90%。这种方法作为抑制NO产生的技术，也用于锅炉等固定燃烧设施上。
