炔诺孕酮其化学名为为13-乙基-17-羟基-18,19-二去甲-17α-孕甾-4-烯-20-炔-3-酮，为白色或类白色的结晶性粉末；无臭，味微苦。在氯仿中溶解，在乙醇中微溶，在丙酮中略溶，在水中不溶。熔点（附录ⅥC）为204～212℃。用于女性短期避孕。
