当两物体产生相对滑动（或有相对滑动趋势）时，则在接触间将产生阻碍物体滑动的力，这种力称为滑动摩擦力，简称摩擦力。摩擦力作用在物体的接触面上，其方向与滑动的方向（或相对滑动趋势的方向）相反。 按接触面之间是否有相对运动存在，滑动摩擦力可分为静滑动摩擦力和动滑动摩擦力两类。
