滋养体，一般指原生动物摄取营养阶段，能活动、摄取养料、生长和繁殖，是寄生原虫的寄生阶段。在寄生虫的原虫中该阶段通常与致病作用有关。在血鞭毛虫中，无鞭毛体、前鞭毛体、上鞭毛体和锥鞭毛体以及刚地弓形虫的速殖子和缓殖子都归属滋养体阶段。痢疾内变形虫的大小滋养体结构基本相同，但大小不同。大滋养体运动较为活跃，能分泌蛋白分解酶溶解肠壁组织。
