溜井是指利用自重从上往下溜放矿石的巷道。它在平硐开拓或竖井开拓的矿山获得广泛应用。习惯所指的溜井有两种:一种是供上部阶段转放矿石或废石到下部阶段或下部矿仓,为一个或多个阶段服务的,称主溜井,它属于辅助开拓巷道;另一种是供采场内转放矿石到阶段运输巷道,为一个或多个采场服务的称采场溜井,后者属于采准巷道。
