海水透明度（seawater transparency）海水能见度的一种量度。通常以直径30cm的白色圆盘垂直放入海水中的可见深度来表示。其影响因素有海水的颜色、水中的悬浮物质、浮游生物、海水的涡动、进入海水中的径流，以及天空中的云量等。大洋中悬浮物较少，透明度一般可达50～60米；近海悬浮物较多，约达10～30米；河口地区因水中含有大量泥沙，常缩小至1～2米。海水透明度与潜艇活动和水中武器使用关系密切。潜艇隐蔽行动，需潜至大于透明度的深度航行。
