测控技术与仪器专业是精密机械、电子、电路、光学、自动控制、计算机与信息技术等多学科互相渗透而形成的一门高新技术密集型综合学科，是我国仪器仪表行业唯一的本科专业。它的专业面很广：仪器仪表设计制造、工业自动化控制、火箭导弹卫星的发射及监控、深海探测器、航空航天器。 该专业培养具备精密仪器设计制造以及测量与控制方面基础知识与应用能力，能在国民经济各部门从事精密仪器与系统的设计制造、精密机械设计制造、工业自动控制领域等方面的高级工程技术人才。
