流土也称流砂,是指在渗流作用下,某一范围内土体的表面隆起、浮动或某一颗粒群的同时起动而流失的一种沙沸现象。在渗透力作用下,土体中的颗粒群同时启动而流失,它可以发生在非黏性土中,也可以发生在黏性土中。在渗流力作用下,粒间有效应力为零时,颗粒群发生悬浮、移动的现象称为流土现象或流砂现象。 在渗流力作用下,粒间有效应力为零时,颗粒群发生悬浮、移动的现象称为流土现象或流砂现象。这种现象多发生在颗粒级配均匀的饱和细、粉砂和粉土层中,它的发生一般是突发性的,对工程危害极大。
