洺，水名，即今河北省南部之洺河。源出武安县西太行山，东经临洺关北，自此以下，河道屡改，今则东流经永年县北折，汇入滏阳河。洺河为河流名，在河北省武安市境内，分南北两条，夏日水位较深，冬季有干涸现象，季节性较为突出。在武安、永年、鸡泽、曲周等地均有流经，永年的县城临洺关，依洺河而得名。
