洗胃是指将一定成分的液体灌入胃腔内，混和胃内容物后再抽出，如此反复多次。其目的是为了清除胃内未被吸收的毒物或清洁胃腔，临床上用以胃部手术、检查前准备。对于急性中毒如短时间内吞服有机磷、无机磷、生物碱、巴比妥类药物等，洗胃是一项重要的抢救措施。
