汇水区域，又称作集水区域、集水盆地、流域盆地，是指地表径流或其他物质汇聚到一共同的出水口的过程中所流经的地表区域，它是一个封闭的区域。出水口是指水流离开汇水区的点，这个点是汇水区边界上的最低点。通常一条河流的汇水区没有其他的地表径流流入且只有惟一的一个出水点。
