求欲 desire 当动物生理的和心理的稳定性遭到破坏时，而动物力求恢复其稳定性所表现的行为。所谓求欲乃是意味着这种心理的和生理性的不均衡状态。因此，要满足求欲则将意味着维持个体生命和保障其社会生存。与求欲相类似的用语，还有“要求”这一概念。但两者区别还不甚明确，比较来说，“要求”似乎多意味着生理的和先天的欲求。广义的求欲，可解释为先天的求欲或初级性的求欲，以及有经验影响的后天的求欲或次级性的（派生的）求欲两种。但也有从机能上进行分类的尝试：（1）为了维持个体生命，生来就具有的先天性的生理学的求欲；（2）先天性的生理学的求欲以外的，即心理因素的求欲。后者复可分为个体在集群生活中产生的社会性求欲及从个体内部产生的内发性求欲。
