止咳草，中药名。为玄参科石龙尾属植物紫苏草Limnophila aromatica（Lam.）Merr.的全草。植物紫苏草，分布于我国广东、福建、台湾、江西等省。具有清热止咳，解毒消肿之功效。主治感冒，咳嗽，百日咳，毒蛇咬伤，痈疮肿毒，癣疥，皮肤瘙痒。
目的：半合成具有止咳、祛痰及消炎作用的木犀草素。
