樟子松（ Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica Litv. ）常绿乔木，高15-25米，最高达30米，树冠椭圆形或圆锥形。树干挺直，3-4米以下的树皮黑褐色，鳞状深裂，叶2针一束，刚硬，常稍扭曲，先端尖。雌雄同株，雄球花卵圆形，黄色，聚生在当年生枝的下部；雌球花球形或卵圆形，紫褐色。球果长卵形。鳞盾呈斜方形，具纵脊横脊，鳞脐呈瘤状突起。种子小，具黄色、棕色、黑褐色不一，种翅膜质。产于中国黑龙江大兴安岭海拔400-900米山地及海拉尔以西、以南一带砂丘地区。可作庭园观赏及绿化树种。林木生长较快，材质好，适应性强，可作东北大兴安岭山区及西部砂丘地区的造林树种。
