桑皮又称桑根白皮、桑白皮、伏蛇皮。是桑科(Moraceae)桑属(Morus)落叶乔木，偶有灌木，花期4月；果熟5-7月。叶为桑蚕饲料。木材可制器具，枝条可编箩筐，桑皮可作造纸原料，桑椹可供食用、酿酒，叶、果和根皮可入药。
