One onlooker, Li Jian, said he saw smoke rise from the hotel roof shortly after a huge burst of fireworks showered it with sparks.
“烟只冒出了一小会，但是不久就开始燃烧。”李建说。
"Smoke came out for a little while, but then it just started burning," li said.
“我们已经有100多个家庭可以提供住宿，”贵州省西江镇的一位村支书李建林（音）说到。
"We have more than a hundred families who now take people to stay in their homes," says Li Jianlin, the village chief of Xijiang, a rural township situated in Guizhou province.
