机器人协会成立于2013年，是一个由陈焕文院长亲自题名，以谭立新主任为顾问、雷道仲老师为指导老师的科技创新型社团。 鉴于协会的专业特色，我们立足学院，以为我院的教育机器人项目准备基础性人才、开展机器人科研、参加各类竞赛活动以及提高学生的独立思考能力和自我动手能力为目的；在课余时间，协会为会员提供专业化知识培训，有“单片机实验教学”、“PCB设计教学”、“机器人制作教学”等，此外，协会还会为会员提供进入智能控制项目组的平台（机器人设计与制作技能大赛），尽最大的努力让会员了解更多，学到更多。
