望远镜座，中心赤经19时0分，中心赤纬-52度。一个南天不起眼的黯淡星座。其中有六等以上的恒星29颗，最亮星为望远镜座α，中文名鳖一(3.54等），再也没有4等以上的亮星。望远镜座δ是一对双星，两子星为4.91等和5.06等，间距为8秒，小口径望远镜即可分辨。
