无定形碳又称为过渡态碳，是碳的同素异形体中的一大类。无定形碳即指那些石墨化晶化程度很低，近似非晶形态（或无固定形状和周期性的结构规律）的碳材料，如炭黑等。在炭素材料学历史上，曾与石墨、金刚石并立，被认为是碳元素三种存在状态之一。
