断层位移测量(fault displacement measurement)是指为确定一条断层现今是否仍有活动及其活动方式所进行的观测。通常是在断层两盘设置人工标志,使用测量学的方法或用电阻丝、连通管等各种机械的、电学的、光学的方法,长期连续地精密测量断层两侧的垂直位移和水平位移,来确定断层的活动情况。是监测地震前活动断层位移情况进行地震预报的一种手段。
本文首先给出了北京地区若干跨断层位移测量结果的年周期变化。
