文化决定论（Cultural Determinism）一种认为个体完全由他所属文化来决定的观点。文化是一个民族的生活方式，它由思想和行为的习惯模式所组成，包括价值、信仰、行为规范、政治组织、经济活动等。 由于所有这些习惯模式是通过学习而非生物习惯模式的过程就是个体受限其所属文化的过程。
文章分析了中国建立文化认同的两种模式，即“文化决定论”和“文化支援论”。
