《数学研究》（Journal of Mathematical Study，简称JMS）创刊于1954年，原刊名为《厦门数学通讯》，1994年经国家科委批准，正式更名为《数学研究》，是由厦门大学主管、厦门大学数学科学学院主办的国际性、综合性数学类季刊。本刊旨在推进数学科学研究，及时报道数学理论成果与应用数学理论成果，促进国内外的学术交流，主要刊载纯粹数学与应用数学方面（特别是编委的研究方向）的综述文章和原创性学术论文。读者对象是数学工作者、大专院校数学教 师、理工科研究生、数学科学各专业高年级学生，有关科技工作者以及数学爱好者。2014年，JMS全面改版，成立了新的编委会，编委会由53位国内外杰出的数学家组成，并对来稿实行编委负责（推荐）制。
