支路单元(TU,Tributary Unit)是指由TU-PTR和一个低阶VC组成,特定数目的TU根据路由编排和传输的需要可以组成一个TUG(TUGroup).目前TU有TU-11、TU-12、TU-2和TU-3等四种形式,TUG不包含额外的开销字节。类似地,多个AU也可以构成一个AUG以用于高阶STM帧。
