推类是中国古代名辩学用语。依据类的同异关系所进行的推理的统称。也指一种具体的推理形式。“推类”最早见于《墨经·经下》和《苟子·正名》，“类”是中国古代名辩学中关于定名、立辞、推理的一个基本概念。后期墨家明确区分“类”与“不类”，认为类名所反映的对象之间的“类同”是“有以同”，部分属性相同：有的事物不能形成类，是因为“不有同”，即没有相同之处。强调“类”是确立名、辞、说、辩的根据和前提。
