振型是指弹性体或弹性系统自身固有的振动形式。可用质点在振动时的相对位置即振动曲线来描述。由于多质点体系有多个自由度，故可出现多种振型，同时有多个自振频率，其中与最小自振频率（又称基本频率）相应的振型为基本振型，又称第一振型。
